Marcella Villa received her BA in International Relations and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She did her Pediatric Residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also fluent in Spanish.

Marcella practiced in the Northern Virginia area for five years prior to joining Fairfax Pediatric Associates. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
